Billy “Roscoe” Pierce, 69, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014, in Big Spring.

Graveside services will be held 10am on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in the Crane County Cemetery with Jimmy Fox officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Billy was born on October 7, 1944 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the US Navy. Billy was a retired production foreman for Chevron. He was a longtime resident of Monahans before moving to Odessa. He married Mary Byrd in December of 1991. He retired from Chevron in 1992. He was an avid golfer, and loved going to auctions looking for a good deal. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Juanita Carr Pierce; and sister, Patty Hollingsworth.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pierce of Odessa; two brothers, Carlos Fox of Lake Whitney, and Floyd Pierce of Stephenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
