BETTY ANN SMITH
CRANE: Betty Ann Smith, 74 of Crane, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her residence.
Memorial graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Crane County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Betty was born on June 8, 1935 in Lyman, NE. She was a retired self-employed business owner; and had been a longtime resident of Crane, living here since 1972. Betty loved to play bingo, she loved her cats, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by six sons, Wayne Smith, Wade Smith, Monte Smith and his wife Crystal all of Crane; W.D. Smith and his wife Stephanie of Illinois, Daniel Smith of Dallas, and Robert Smith and his wife Kristin of Midland. Betty is also survived by her daughter, Mary Drake of Las Vegas, NV; one brother Robert Carlson of Nebraska; and 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
