Barbara Jo Pettit

October 28, 1929 — October 4, 2011

Barbara Jo Pettit of Crane peacefully left this world on October 4, 2011. She was 81-years-old, and she will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, James Blaine Potter; her mother, Kathleen Shelly Potter; and her brother and sister, James Logan Potter and Bonnie Laura Service, respectively.

Barbara was born in Wink, Texas, on October 28, 1929. She was a faithful and loving companion to her surviving husband, Chester Wayne Pettit. The couple married on October 27, 1949, while Chester was serving in the Army Air Corps. The couple's marriage produced three children: Bonnie Seabourn, Shelly Milam and Steve Pettit. Barbara is survived by her children, as well as their spouses: Leroy, Carl and Debra, respectively.

Barbara loved and cherished her many grandchildren: Todd Seabourn and his wife, Lora; Katy Seabourn; Bradley Pettit and his wife, Jessica; Craig Pettit; Terra Willis and her husband, Casey; "Dubba" Milam and his wife, Jenelle; and "Kimby" Milam. Barbara is also survived by her great grandchildren: Hunter, Lainey and Jolee Seabourn; Savannah and Kenley Seabourn; Kamryn and Kaylor Milam; Jaxon, Makenna and Hudson Willis; and Nicolas and Cash Pettit.

The family has chosen to gather privately to remember Barbara, but they would like to thank everyone who has shown such tremendous love and support during this difficult time. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, people make donations to Home Hospice, or to the charity of their choice.

Until we meet again, we will miss you as we have loved you: every day and with all of our hearts. Goodbye, "Maw-Maw."
