Art Don Mansell, 51, of Crane, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be held at 5:00pm on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Crane County Cemetery with Jimmy Fox and Michael Chaney officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Art was born on November 14, 1962, in Crane, Texas. He worked in construction in the oilfield. He had lived in Crane most of his life. Art was a member of the Dorothea Street Church of Christ. He loved to play the guitar and sing, and recite poetry. He was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Artie Fern Mansell; his sister, Tracey Henderson; and his biological mother, Dorothy McDougal.
Art is survived by his biological father, Paul Henderson Jr.; five sisters, Patty Hernandez, Jewel Kelacki, Julia Chaney, Leslie Mansell, and Casondra “Candy†McDougal Saults; three brothers, Paul Henderson III, Jay Huckabay, and Shawn McDougal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
