Anita Hernandez, 66, of Rankin, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 in Odessa.
Funeral services were held at 11am on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Rankin with Reverend Jennifer Kelley officiating. Burial followed in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Raul Galvan, Ernest Galvan, Terry Childress, Adam Garcia, Stephen Galvan, and Gary Vickers.
Anita was born on July 18, 1946 in Sheffield, Texas. She had lived in Rankin for 14 years, moving from Denver City. She had owned and operated a restaurant before she retired.
She is survived by her husband, Max Hernandez of Rankin; her son, Michael Hernandez of Rankin; and two daughters, Sara Hernandez of Rankin and Nicole Garcia of Germany; five grandchildren: Tori, Kayla, Brooke, Bella, and Landon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
