ANGELA MAE FLORES
IRAAN: Angela Mae Flores went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday April 26, 2010. Angela was born on March 20, 1948 in Iraan, Texas to Maggie Maye Scott and Jose Martinez.
She is survived by her husband Juan M. Flores of Iraan, sister Stella Melton of Burnet, children Juanita Green and husband Todd Green of Iraan, Martin Flores of Midland, and Juan Flores, Jr. of Iraan. Her grandchildren are Rachel Green and fianc? Ricky Wilson of Sweetwater, Tylene Green of Lubbock, and Dakota Green of Iraan. She also had several nieces and nephews.
Angela claimed she had seen more glory in 62 years than anyone else she knew. Angela, or Nana to her grandchildren and many others, was known for her enthusiasm and love for others. She served her community through her 33 years of service at the Iraan Bank. She dedicated much of her time to cheering on her grandchildren during their sports activities through the years at Iraan High School.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Iraan at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Graveside services will follow at the Sheffield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaime Ibarra, Dakota Green, Brad Ledford, Dillon Dees, Brandon Shipman, and Cole Banner. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Cade, Paul Lee, William Melton, Tommy Melton, Pete Melton, and Billow Melton.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Angela's honor to the American Cancer Society or the Buddy Lanehart Scholarship Foundation in Iraan.
